Profile

Lionel Cranenburgh is one of Australia’s leading career advisors.

For three decades he has helped more West Australian educators, than any other career development company, senior officers, and managers, from the Education Department WA, Catholic Education WA and AISWA, to gain promotion in leadership roles.

Talented

Internationally Recognised

Lionel was Head of English in government and independent schools, senior lecturer at TAFE, senior lecturer at university, and senior officer in central and a regional office of the Education Department WA.

His multi-layered talent covers writing award-winning articles on education, crafting winning applications for principals, associate principals, directors, all levels of public service, heads of department, creating portfolios for Level 3 Classroom Teachers and, as nationally accredited mediator, resolving complex disputes.

His international experience led him to be invited to Australian, British, Canadian, Indian and Thailand’s international leading schools, including Oxford and Cambridge Universities, as a researcher, into the latest discoveries on adult career advancement.

He was given an award, in 2001, by a leading Indian University, for his contribution to career development and, in 2002, was the choice, of one of India’s leading schools, to provide a workshop, for teachers and principals, on transformative education.

Prolific Writer

Lionel writes more than 15,000 words each week for clients preparing job applications. His prolific ability to write led him to be headhunted to work as an international journalist writing on education, government and careers for Education World, an international journal.

He has published thousands of articles in the West Australian and national magazines and was approached by Monash University and Dulwich College to promote their achievements.

Achievement

He was the first, and only Australian, to be selected, and serve for several years, as an Australian Education Advisor, on careers and education, with a board of international advisors, for a leading education publication.

“Your skills in writing took me up five levels from mid-level principal to Executive Director of Education. Thank you!”
